When you have passed your theory test and reached a level of safe and competent driving, your instructor will recommend you book a practical driving test. There are three ways you can book a test.

On the day of your test you will need to produce the following documents, failure could halt the test:

 

†    Driving Licence (photo card) showing correct address

 

†    Driving Licence (paper section) showing correct address

 

†    Valid theory  test certificate

 

†    Your letter of confirmation

 

Before starting to drive you will be required to show you are able to read a standard car number plate from 20 metres (cars registered after 1st Sept 2001), or 20.5 metres (cars registered before 1st Sept 2001). You will then be asked two safety questions - one show me and one tell me. Click ‘show me’ tab on left of screen.
