AMBITION

On your practical driving test the examiner will be wanting to see you are a safe and competent driver following The Highway Code
You will be given directions to follow by the examiner, which you must listen to carefully. If you do make a mistake don’t panic it may not affect your your overall result. If you need to correct the mistake do so safely.
Part of the test is to ensure your ability to carry out manoeuvres accurately and safely. You will be asked to complete two of the four exercises you have learnt during your training:
You may be asked to carry out an emergency stop.
The scoring allows you to make 15 minor driving faults, the 16th will result in a fail. However, if you commit either a serious or dangerous fault you will fail regardless of the amount of minor faults. The test will also be stopped if the examiner feel you are a danger to other road users.
During the test the examiner will be marking the test report. Try not to distract yourself by attempting to see what is being written, apart from being dangerous this may cause you to gain the mark that fails you due to lack of concentration and observation!
You are allowed to take another person on the test with you who is over 16 years of age but they cannot take part in the test.
The test lasts approx 40 minutes and cost £48.50 Mon-
