To take your DSA theory test you will need to attend the designated centre for your area. Usually this is not the driving test centre.
The test is split into 2 sections. The first part is 35 questions on highway code subjects with multiple choice answers. The pass mark is 30 correct answers.

Most pupils prefer to study at home for their theory test, but I am willing to assist you if you prefer. The current cost of the test is £30, payable to the DSA.
There are a multitude of publications and cd’s on the market to help you study, most of which is available from high street bookshops. The latest edition of The Highway Code and Know Your Road Signs are a must. But any of the other books shown are of great benefit to aid your success.
The theory and hazard perception tests are also available on CD and can be useful to get you comfortable with the format used on the day.
