First Things First

Before you can legally drive a car on the public highway you must:

Be a minimum age of 17 years old and hold a current UK provisional driving licence.

DID YOU KNOW...............

You can apply for your licence up to 3 months prior to your 17th birthday, but the licence will not be valid until you are 17.

You must be:

1) Be a resident of the UK.

2) Be able to comply with the minimum eyesight test, currently reading a standard vehicle number plate from a distance of 20 metres, in good daylight.

3) Not be currently prevented from driving, for any reason.

ALSO

Any car you are driving on a public highway must be roadworthy with a valid MOT certificate (if over 3 years old), a valid insurance certificate entitling you to drive the vehicle, and a valid road tax disc displayed on the kerbside of the front windscreen .
